NOTE: A lot of scenes in '28 Days Later' is shot with a standard definition
European model Canon XL-1s camcorder at 720x576 resolution, a decision on
the part of the film makers to give the film a rough look. But the effect
of this camera choice is really bad low resolution images.

So what I'm trying to say is that don't expect very sharp images like on
other high resolution films/rips from Grym.

      The soundtrack is excellent though!

   Q & A:

1) How do I Bitstream TrueHD & DTS-HD Master audio From my PC to My surround
   Receiver?

2) How can I watch your so-called non cropped rip in your so-called 2.35:1
   Anamorphic Widescreen image, mate?

You can watch the movie in original 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
(Anamorphic Lens), like you do in the theater, by setting the aspect ratio in
   your software player to 2.35:1.

Turn off any automatic or manual 16:9 cropping on your TV - if any and if used.

If set correct then the image on your 16:9 flat screen should look something
like the screen croppings on this link:

   http://someimage.com/Q2le

You got image like in the link?
Now please search 'Anamorphic Widescreen' in Youtube for more reference.

Ok, now do same playback procedure with a "2.35:1" 1920x800 rip.

3) Why don't You crop 2.35:1 Film Aspect Ratio Movies?

Comments

Thank you VERY much for your personal comments about the quality of the film; that is VERY helpful in deciding whether I would want to download it or not.

Appreciate it!
Thanks mate, but remember that the movie itself is shot with this camera in 720x576 for esthetic reasons, so it's part of the movie.

Don't let this info stop you from watching this fantastic zombie horror flick, mate!!
Heh, I appreciate your comments.

Thank you kindly!!!
There were a lot of criticisms about the pic quality of the blu ray release, but like VR said that's just the way it was shot. Both are excellent movies though.

@TheLathe. I also appreciate VR personal comments about the release. It gives it a more personal touch which you don't find with other uploaders.
You are quite right JJ!

That's what makes THIS guy the best!!! : )
Bit bummed its not as clear as normal blurays. Coulda just got the dvd version for like 1.3gb :S
@Comarol

Uh, yeah... That is why VR made it very clear that the original source didn't really look HD. And that's why I personally didn't bother with this one either (I already have the DVD : )
the quality is suppose to be fuzzy like that, its just the way it was filmed. btw, best zombie flick ever...
