@sixtenjernberg, thank buddy. Your fix worked. I was able to create a bootable usb installer.
I did have trouble showing all files. None of the terminal commands or apps worked on my 13A598 build.
I ran Liondiskmaker app using Mountain Lion option. That presented me with 3 source dmg options. I chose BaseSystem.dmg. That mounted the dmg and became visible in Disk Utility. I then proceeded with DU restore as you described. Success.
FYI I did it that way as a workaround since show all files wasn't working. Liondiskmaker also didn't create a bootable usb drive installer.

@teaboxx try with Alternative Ways, it works fine
Hi, just checked that guide at http://www.coolestguidesontheplanet.com/making-a-boot-usb-disk-of-osx-10-9-mavericks/
The "Quickest Way" of course does not work since those files that are needed are broken in this torrent.
But the "Alternative Ways" should work fine for you, it is essentially the same procedure as I wrote before (even better actually since it shows how to set Finder to show all files).

it doesn't seems to create recovery partition by default, by utilizing the alternative method, any workaround? thx
Great torrent, thanks!
If you are running OS X, you can download myHack from here: http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ .
So far the least buggy way for me. You MUST copy the "Install OS X Mavericks.app" to your Applications folder. After that, insert a 8 gb or larger USB drive and run myHack. Select the options you want from the drop down menus and your done.
