Works perfectly, iCloud too. Doesn't ask for any apple id or anything. Don't know if it can be updated, i think it can't

All the apps can be updated. I just installed iWorks '09 on Mavericks and updated everything to current versions.

Just downloaded, extracted, move the applications folder, tried to update and it says Update unavailable with the Apple ID. Sign in with that Apple ID and try again!!! Using the new Mavericks update, please guys really need this working!

Well, update didnt work, but opening the app after placing it in the applications folder worked like a charm! So dont think it can update itself, but it works none the less!
