I appreciate your point, but I disagree.
As far as the entire title is concerned, "a description of the series/ characters/ storylines" belongs in the description of the upload of the first issue, and in that of any subsequent collection torrents. Including it over and over again for each single-issue upload is unnecessary to the point of constituting clutter rather than information. As far as the issue in question is concerned, a spoiler-free blurb might be nice, but I've no idea how to come up with one (unless included in the comic itself, which is rare) short of reading each issue I upload before I upload and then composing it myself - and for 0-Day torrents in particular, the resultant delays would be far too steep a price.
Principally, the purpose of the dry-facts description above is to tell people exactly what they are getting beforehand; which, among other uses, ought to enable anyone who is indeed as yet unfamiliar with a series to find out more about it via google, wikipedia, et cetera. How is that NOT useful? :)
