Sweet new digital scans? Thanks! Although I've always liked SO I still think Byrne's interpretation was a bit better. Still good stuff though.

You're very welcome. I'm afraid I'm in no position to discuss the relative merits of the various series, as I don't actually read mainstream superhero comics - I just happen to post rather a lot of 'em recently because they happen to make up a big portion of my pet-project Digital Hitlists. :)
Great post! Gary Frank is extremely talented. It feels like Christopher Reeve is staring at me in that cover pic. If you are into Superman this is a great read. Thanks and Happy New Year.
