Fences is a one-of-a-kind program, allowing you to draw labeled shaded areas on your desktop, which become movable & resizable containers for your desktop icons. These groups can help bring organization and consistency to your computer's desktop, solving the "constant mess" problem that has plagued the desktop since its inception.
Furthermore, this application will help you finally enjoy the desktop background you have hiding behind all those icons. In addition to its organizing features, Fences offers a novel quick-hide feature (in-patenting-process). Double click your desktop, and all your icons will fade out. Double click again, and they'll return.

Features:
-Create "fences" on your desktop to organize icons
-Hide and show your desktop icons with a click
-Mirror your folders' contents on the desktop
-Have new desktop icons automatically sorted into an appropriate "fence"

What's new in Fences 2.12:
December 6th, 2013

-Added allowing users to choose between rounded and 90 degree angle corner edges in the Fences config (defaulted by OS)
-Added prompt for email at trial activation
Re-enabled touch features. This includes using two fingers to switch between desktop pages (enabled by default) and the ability to "flick" icons into fences (disabled by default). Both are options in the settings, on the "Desktop Pages" and "Layout and snapping" tabs respectively.
-Fixed Fences not showing on desktop/exist offscreen, out of res bounds
-Fixed Fence shifting icons into hidden third column
-Fixed show my desktop issue reactivated with information
-Fixed issue with Folder portals and visibility
-Fixed issue with name based rules and right click
-Fixed issue with bottomed aligned secondary monitors causes off-set Portal Fences
-Fixed a crash issue that has been haunting support where a target folder location had been changed
-Fixed issue with config UI blanking out
-Fixed issue with Fences not showing on desktop when they existed offscreen, out of the screen resolution
-Fixed issue with new files defaulting to the second monitor
-Fixed issue with the show desktop button in Windows when an active modal window was displaying in Fences
-Fixed issue with being unable to drag desktop pages when the taskbar was on the left or right
-Fixed issue with excluding icons from quickhide (like .website)
-Fixed issue when folder portal opacity was set to 0%
-Fixed where rules weren't sticking if assigned through right-click/...
-Removed Fences as a Control Panel item (kept causing problems)

Running Windows 8.1 x64
Doesn't work, I've tried all the steps mentioned in the comments above and like some Windows Smart Screen keeps popping up asking to allow SDActivate.exe almost every second, making my computer unusable. It also keeps asking me to choose which option I want, trial or purchase. Any help?
The new instruction is missing this part:
"...
CLICK ON save license , ignore the error "stardock files not find in that directory"

CLICK on PATCH .

LOG OFF or RESTART your computer ."

The above is taken from fences version 2.01 torrent. You will see the popup asking to register/buy until you restart the computer. In another word after restarting you will Not see that "nagging popup" again.

Thanks for uploading.
This shit does'nt work! It does not remove the trail version fuck.
Had alot of problem with this, but seem to got it working again, after installing it the first time it worked till the trail ran out, after that ive reinstalled it five times, the "save licence" in the patch havnt worked for me. How i got it working:

0. If youve failed installing it before, uninstall it as usual, after uninstallation, check and remove files at:
C:Program Files (x86)Stardock (remove stardock map in Program Files (x86))
-Just to be sure, also remove stardock map at:
C:ProgramDataStardock
-Then restart computer.

0,5. Fences installation only auto starts the program once done, it doesnt auto update but, if you want to take extra precautions you could turn of internet (plug out/ turn of wi-fi) before starting the installation.

1. Install the program.
Make sure fences is not running before applying patch. Double check that even through task manager:
ctrl + alt + del = end (right click , end..) "fences settings" or alike.

2. Copy the contents of "Crack + Patch" folder to where Fences is installed e.g: C:Program Files (x86)StardockFences.

3. After that run the patch, save license, click Patch button.
("save license" havnt worked for me, if it did work for you, please tell the rest of us, even thought it didnt work it seems possible to get the program running/ working).

4. Restart your computer.

5. Done, Enjoy !! :)
Worked fine for me on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Here's what I did:

1: Run Setup.exe and install Fences as trial.

2: Enter your email and click the link they send you to activate trial.

3: Close Fences. Use Task Manager to make sure there are no Fences processes running.

4: Copy everything from Crack + Patch folder to install directory. (On my PC this was C: Program Files (x86) - Stardock - Fences)

5: Run KeyMaker&Patch.exe

6: Click "Patch"

7: Click "Save License"

8: Leave the directory alone and click "OK"

9: It will tell you the files were not found. IGNORE THIS WARNING

10: Close the patcher, you're done. Fences should no longer warn you about a trial period.
Works fine for me on Windows 7 Ult. x64
Make sure to reboot after patching.
