Bayimg is currently completely down, so I'm blindly recycling the image from the most recent single-issue torrent for this series - whether it turns out to be the main final issue cover or something else, it ought to be better than nothing, I'm thinking! :)
bayimg being down was so irritating earlier but I think if you had waited one more minute you would have been fine, lol, as I posted my last torrent at the exact same time as you and I managed to upload.
Also, thanks for this series in digital, it is one of the best runs on any comic EVER in my opinion. Rick Remender's writing and most of the artists are top-notch. The initial arc and "The Dark Angel Saga" especially are superb, plus it all ties together so well over the course of all 35 issues. Cannot recommend this enough!

What gave you the impression that we posted at the "exact same time" - the timestamps are more than an hour apart, but I've never paid attention to how reliable those are before now, so that may or may not mean much... ?
Yeah, I see that now, but when I posted your torrent also showed up as "0 minutes ago" right below mine. Ah well no matter...thanks again for the comics.
Ah, okay, that makes sense.
From what I've seen, certain views are buggy in that they show everything posted during the current year (?) as "0 minutes ago".
Thanks for explaining, I couldn't figure out what could have made you think that and the curiosity was niggling away at me! :)
hey gesserit, i've recently become obsessed by a request. The American, an early Dark Horse comics series. i have downloaded scans of #1-4 in tpb form, the 1990 Special, the sequel miniseries Lost in America #1-4, and a couple of appearances from Dark Horse Presents. i cannot find #5-8. any ideas?
also, i think the entire set came out as a collected edition several years ago, but i don't think it was scanned or ripped.

WSML only mentions
American (Dark Horse) Book 1
American (Dark Horse) Special 1
American Lost in America 1-4
which, making the likely assumption that "Book 1" refers to said TPB, would mean that you already have all there is to be had. :(
The only slim hope for completeness I can think of is that "Lost in America" turns out to be nothing more than an alternate way of referring to those issues 5 thru 8... but you probably investigated that already?
^ Looking at comicbookdb, I think we can bury that notion completely. Everything else aside, the Omnibus has more than 350 pages versus the less than 100 for the trade, which can only be accounted for if there really are 13 and not merely 9 issues' worth of original content. Ew!
yeah, i compared the issue titles and then in the lost in america scans, there are fan letters written about those issues.
there's a 62 gig torrent of dark horse comics floating out there (i'd point to it, but i can't remember where i found it) that i dig into, title by title, sometimes... it doesn't have vol. 1 either!

Thinking about it a bit more, I guess the problem is really that a) Dark Horse never collected the issues in question into a trade and b) none of the original single issues were ever scanned. Put those together, and it explains the gap.
With a bit of luck, someone will pirate the omnibus in the not too distant future, and it won't matter any longer.
Incidentally, according to comicbookdb the protagonist makes appearances in Frank Miller's "Martha Washington" books, which have also recently been collected in an Omnibus, which in turn has yet to be scanned, too! :)
thanks for your help cap'n cotton candy
Helped you fail, I did! :P
