"Earth From Above" is a serie of 15 documentaries (plus a special Copenhaguen episode) of 90 minutes each, presented by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and dedicated to the major challenges faced by our planet, It was broadcast on France 2 and France 3, French national television.
"Earth From Above" brings the viewer beautiful High Definition imags of the Earth. Each episodes talks about a particular environmental challenge.
The show "Earth From Above" is 4 years of shooting for 4 seasons and a total of 15 episodes plus special Copenhague ("A night for the Earth")


1)  Natures Heroes 
How can the development necessary for soon soon to be 7 billion indivuduals co-exist with the protection of natural resources of the Earth? The incredible diversity of fauna and flora, the fight against climate change balance between growth and sustainable development of all struggles on five continents! Eaarth From Above, this is a hymn to the Earth, living and threatened. This last component, Heroes of Nature, is a call to humanism.

2)  Consumption: What the Labels Don't Tell Us 
Today, one quarter of the food produced is thrown away without ever being consumed. Purchase, use , discard , have become everyday actions impact sometimes unsuspected . To talk , Yann Arthus -Bertrand and his team left Japan. There, as in France, and many rich countries , is consumed excessively and wasted a lot.
But we know that all the products we buy ? Where are they manufactured ? Where did they come from? What are their impacts on the other side of the world and become our waste? This new episode of Vu du Ciel is a journey to discover that the labels do not tell you .
Yann Arthus -Bertrand has chosen to show us an unknown Japan , as the island armored Gunkanjima , a former mining town , now abandoned ghost town . But this new episode will reveal the behind the scenes of our consumption : investigating the consequences of our electronic waste, the existence of a vast sea of plastic in the middle of the Pacific Ocean or on the ecological impact of the production of jeans we wear. Earth From Above , Consumption: What the Labels Dont Tell Us is an overview of our uncompromising lifestyle.

3)  The End of Oil 
The end of oil is the fabulous story of a raw material in just a century , has revolutionized the lives of men . But today, oil reserves are depleted. In its mad race ever production , man has not been able to preserve this precious energy the Earth took millions of years to offer.
Recounts the adventure of oil, Yann Arthus -Bertrand and his team have gone to the United States, the most addicted to black gold country. In the early twenty-first century, it is imperative to be aware that oil resources are limited.
It is now time to act and organize themselves to prepare for the new era ahead. While all our economies are based on the price of a barrel tomorrow in 20, 30 or 100 years , it will have to live without oil. What will be the consequences? What are the options available to us?
This new episode of Vu du Ciel attempts to answer these questions. From China to Benin , through Azerbaijan, Belgium and Canada , " Earth From Above " takes us on a tour of unprecedented world to meet black gold.
