Thanks BOZX.
Sorry, maybe a bit of a noob question but what do I loose out on by getting this rip vs the full 40GB PublicHD one? Both have the same bitrate listed for the audio and video so does that mean they will be the same quality?
Paul,
Click the 'Files' like near the top of the listing.
The 40GB is an ISO file (to burn a disc)
This one is an mkv file (for playing directly)

ISO's are generally more 'complete'. More languages, subtitles, menus, extras. You are re-burning the disc. And mkv is generally just 'and now for our feature presentation'.
I just wanted to say, I went to rent this and apparently they have some kind of contract that prevents the ability to rent via tv or redbox for a period of time. So instead of renting this I just racked it. I wonder how many people do that. If anyone with some power reads this, you need to fix your broken methods.
Also too, for what it's worth. These NEW Blu-rays have a SH*TLOAD of encryption garbage on them, many times just multiple files of the same scenes over and over just to confuse the programs we use to rip them.
I USED to download the entire Blu-rays when they were already in BDMV folders (like on a normal Blu-ray) But, these new ISO's are a GIGANTIC pain in the @ss. I've done two of them. One didn't work at all after all the time I spent on it ('ENDER'S GAME') Another one I DID actually get onto a single layer Blu-ray and it LOOKS like it is okay, but the actual movie file turned out to be only 9.8 frigg'n GIGS out of a bloody 45 GIG disc!!! GEEZ... Talk about padding...
Anyway, that was 'GRAVITY'. I just went ahead and DL the Remux (like this one) and burned that one since the movie file untouched is apparently only 15 Gigs, so I get another 5 Gigs of quality for what it's worth.
So, with THIS one I'm just gonna SCREW the full ISO and get the Remux here, which is basically, to answer your question above, JUST the full movie straight from the Blu-ray WITHOUT any further compression. And it includes the English HD Audio track. I'll just snag the Xtras later from GRYM (Von Richt) who always posts the Xtras.
I hope this helps!
Cheers!

And Thanks BOZX! : )

what video player do you guys use to get DTS.MA7.1? I can't get VLC to play high def audio
what video player do you guys use to get DTS Master Audio? I can't get VLC to play HD audio.
VLC will play HD audio, but the thing is that probably you do not have the audio card set up to output in multi-channel. But, VLC itself WILL play the HD part; but I'm not real sure about the multiple channels.
sorry for the multiple posts, this thing is a little weird on my end.
I have the sound card set up right. I can use daum pot player and it plays the audio in HD. My Onkyo Receiver displays what kind of audio feed it is getting. But Pot Player doesn't always play as well as VLC. I have never been able to get the audio to play in HD in VLC. If someone has suggestions, please message. mac_angel at hot mail com
