How is the 720 the same size as the 1080? Seems fishy...

I just don't get how 1080p can be same size as 720p, someone please explain?

@pathduck It can depend on a lot of things, the most common is amount of compression applied by the encoder.
2-3gb for a 720p rip seems to be the best compromise in terms of compression/quality, whereas a 2.5gb 1080p rip would have a lot more compression and would probably look/sound worse (somewhere between 5-6gb seems to be of similar quality for 1080p)
