2014 - THE YEAR IN CHRISTIAN MUSIC
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been reading from Luke this past week. And in it, I have learned a lesson I hadn't noticed before. Setting the stage ... Jesus is traveling near Samaria and Galilee. There, he sees ten beggars with leprosy, pleading with Jesus for pity, and no doubt a cure for their condition. Jesus commands all ten men to go to the priests, where He assures them they will be cleansed.

All ten go. All ten are cleansed. Yet only one of the ten men bothers to return to Jesus to thank Him.

Luke 17:11-19

The lesson? Not to judge the Lord's effectiveness based upon the lack of response of the men He was serving. And I think that's true here with these torrents too. I don't need someone patting me on the back saying "Ata Boy." Sure I enjoy and appreciate your correspondence. D'uh! What Christian wouldn't appreciate genuine fellowship with other like-minded Christians? I do! It is, after all, a source of strength for us. Amen?

But sometimes when those within our fellowship turn on one another, that has always troubled me. And surely it must trouble the Lord too.

This past week Lategrad, a person I previously had pleasant correspondence with, decided to try and discourage my ministry. Suggesting that what I do here is unimportant, and completely effortless. And that compared to others serving the Lord (such as his own Mom), I wasn't.

At first I was angry. Why was I continuing to waste my time waiting on unthankful so-called "Christians" here. I don't get this type of grief elsewhere online from Christians I share with. Certainly I had enough on my plate, I didn't need the drama. Right? So I started to share on other websites that evening and following morning, once again dismissing The Pirate Bay from my continued participation.

But that's not the answer. Who among us hasn't stumbled or wandered? Who among us hasn't made mistakes? We're not perfect. And dare I say, we're not even religious. We're merely redeemed. Period. Redeemed sinners. Amen? And although I'm upset that Lategrad felt the need to discourage my ministry (without considering the consequences of his comments perhaps robbing that one unsaved person out there who might use this music to someday bow before the cross), he still doesn't deserve my anger. Instead he deserves my prayers. And my friendship. And I hope some of you will consider praying for him too.

Lategrad's not a bad person. I would think that maybe he's just a little lost right now in being able to perhaps see the bigger picture. And in being able to see the damage his comments can have towards "ANY" ministry for the Lord. Because someone who loves the Lord doesn't discourage and/or trivialize the ministries of others. Any calling by the Lord, big or small, (and yes, including my own here) is indeed very meaningful work.

Lategrad, I forgive you brother.

I just re-read your comments above, then I looked back through your last several posts, and it struck me. When it was about the music, I had no issues with anything. But when it became about you, that's when I got real bored, real quick. I didn't start all of this to make you mad, but I felt like you maybe needed a jolt to get you back, focused on the music. Looking at what you wrote above, even though you quote Luke, it's still about you. It can't be about serving others if it's about you. I will leave you with that.
You see, idioth8r actually has a point, although I don't care for the 'banger' term. By the way tutubrzl you can piss off. How dare you suggest that. You have no knowledge of me or what I stand for. Getting back to idioth8r's point, hypocrisy is truly rampant here. Maybe I've come to a point where I'm no longer comfortable participating in this. Think about it: If I take food out of your house to give to the hungry, well that would bless them and give them nourishment, wouldn't it? However, it would be wrong for me to do that. The ends don't justify the means. To suggest that I judged anyone is ridiculous. Yet look what's been said about me. It's a shame because I've actually enjoyed my time here, and I think TT rocks when it comes to gathering music. But looking at what's been written over the last couple of weeks, I'm in the wrong place. To suggest that I'm somehow evil because I question the motives of a pirate? Really? You think what you want about me, I don't care. I'm more right with the Lord at this moment than I've ever been.
Yeah, I'm sure the Lord would be troubled that someone is finally standing up for the rights of those who actually do the hard work of creating this music. All who are reading this, do you think the Lord would support this 'ministry'? Would he support the scenario I put forth in my previous post? That's the question we all need to pray about. I sensed a real change in attitude from TT, and I called him out. Notice how he responded and all his supporters responded. Today he forgives me. Although I appreciate the thought, I seek forgiveness only from the Christ. I have made mistakes here, and I admitted such. My counsel is that all who responded, TT included, think about their posts and ask themselves if anything they said could be misinterpreted or hurtful. I literally am gone from here for good, the more I look at these pages the more upset I get.
Dear brother TT could you please seed the Randy Matthews Discography, I'm at 99.9%.

Thank you!
Thanks TT!

I really just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your ministry which has blessed so many others besides myself!

I noticed that you didn't have the newest Elevation Worship album so I've uploaded it to Zippyshare here are the links. I'm sorry that it's one-by-one; I honestly couldn't figure out how to get everything into one folder -- so I just settled for that. I also preordered Rend Collective's Art of Celebration (received the My Lighthouse single) and The Royal Royal's Return of the King (received the Find Me and Real Strength singles). Perhaps you can upload these on your next bundle. Let me just say that this is SO HARD! You've done so much including helping get us discographies, uploading music that I and countless others have requested in the past, This is honestly the least I can do. Anybody else who'd like to download is welcome to type the zippyshare address for the music. It wakes you to my profile which I have named a folder "For TT and others" it's directly under the generic profile picture; you will find the files in there.

God Bless TT!
also my bad for the double post!
lategrad, I appreciate the art of forgiving and here I am to say sorry if I offended you in the comments, it wasn't my purpose when I wrote that.
Hi TT, so read Matthew 20:1-16 where Jesus tells the parable of the workers. You'll notice that some work all day and others just a short period of time. They were all paid the the same amount and the work was rewarded no matter how long they worked. Lesson: we all have our work and will all receive a reward from The Master and not from each other. Just as there was grumbling and complaining in the parable there will be grumbling and complaining here. Expect it, accept it, stay faithful and firm. God Bless.
About two years ago now mewithoutYou released an EP called "Other Stories" and I noticed it's not in any of your bundles. Could you find it and upload it?
God bless your work.
PaleoPirate, your friend has been in my daily prayers since I first heard of the situation. If time permits, please keep us all updated on how she has been doing.
Jimmy_Tsatsos, thanks for letting me know about that Randy Matthews Discography. When I got your note yesterday, I jumped on to lend the torrent some support. There were three people connected. Hopefully you were one of the three that was able to complete the download. If not, please let me know and I'll breathe a little more new life into it for you.
Decker7175, sometimes when we grow up in a household where, in your case, your father lead a Church, it is hard for some of us to know our role within the family. And sometimes we wander away from the Lord. So I am joyed to learn that you are using some of this music to transition, and reconnect. Stay blessed, and stay in touch my friend! :)
iDivine, thank you for the latest Elevation Worship album. I was sure to include it in my 6th bundle which I am torrenting today. :) Unfortunately I didn't yet get to the Rend Collective or the Royal Royal singles. I've just been swamped. But I'll get them downloaded later today, and pop 'em into Bundle #7. Thank you for your efforts. Awesome stuff! :)
Phil215, I snooped through my collection for that MeWithoutYou EP today. Unfortunately I don't have it. I then went looking online for it, and couldn't land a copy. I did, however, find a MeWithoutYou and Norma Jean split I didn't previously have. And I wouldn't have gotten it if it weren't for your request. It doesn't do you much good for "Other Stories" though, so I'll keep an eye open for ya.
@Phil2115 and @TT

You can download the EP Other Stories here:

Under tab TT and Others (just like iDivine)

If you guys need some more ''lost albums'' please say so. I nearly have 3 TB of Christian Music.

God Bless,

QmisterQ
Thank you QmisterQ.

Great stuff, the comments that is. At last some discussion on the do's and dont's, the why's and wherefore's. I still do not believe in the selling of the things of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom does not run by the buying and selling it runs by the giving and recieving. In the first instance it is the Holy Spirit that gives us the abilities. I have never preached on tithing, I have never taken up an offering during a service. I have a box at the back of the Church that is labelled gifts, it is always full! I hate all things to do with religious legalism and self congratulation! The music belongs to God, as you have been freely given freely give. Why is the Gospel and the things of God always for sale, remember the warning given to the merchants of this earth. Keep up the good work.
CrazyChristian, I can't agree with you more. For far too long, Christianity (as a whole, not just music) has been put on sale, and sometimes out of the financial reach of those who perhaps need it the most. When a Church Member is quilted into an offering plate submission, that gift clearly doesn't come from the heart. And the heart is exactly where the Lord wants us to give from.
Okay Since there is so much discussion on this.

I am going to make this comment.
I have no issue distributing music to people who could otherwise not afford it, that is a ministry, if the christian that is producing "christian" music doesn't think that way, then it is no longer a ministry but a profit making enterprise.
Those who can pay for the music they listen to (and by saying this I essentially mean 80% of westerners) I would URGE to do so.

Because I do not know who is seeding and who isn't I choose only to download and I do not seed, for this reason.

But the average person who comes here wants to simply download so they don't need to pay.

There are many who download and will change there lives and who otherwise would never here or never be able to afford.

Replication can be a ministry, that is what printing is, would you photocopy a NIV bible and hand out pages or would you pay the money to Richard Murdoc.

I find it funny that you all discuss this when you are busy torrenting it anyway.

I download the music for Christian Radio.

Who out there in the christian music industry is more interested in making money than sharing the gospel. TT I would suggest that those companies/groups/entities for example Hillsong is one of them (have threatened multiples for copyright) should not be posted for this reason as part of your work.
