Stephen Jones is the most prolific horror anthologist of the last few decades, with over 100 books and magazines under his belt and he is still giving birth to more than three a year - 2013 saw him produce 5 collections, 2010 saw him bring out 6.

Best New Horror is Stephen Jones' longest running anthology series, which he started in 1990 with horror author Ramsey Campbell, who provided (im)moral support for the first five volumes. The series continued under the same name for another three books, with the seventh and eighth being reprinted as The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 7 and TMBoBNH 8 - the anthologies have continued up to the present day under this title.
