Garmin MobilePC 5.00.60 Special version

This modified executable will let you use MobilePC with _all_ your Garmin USB GPS -s via USB, you don't have to buy GPS 10x or GPS 20x anymore!

(Tested with: 60CSx, VistaCx)



Instructions for use:

1. Install MobilePC 5.00.60 (get it from Garmin's website: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00685-00 )

2. Replace Que.exe

by Nincsene(x|z)

you need already an older version of Mobile PC otherwise it does not work. How you can get this.

Very easy.
Install Garmin MobilePC using MAIN.msi not setup.exe.

Program installed, works ok on PC, can I use bluechart maps with this software? Which maps use this program, can not use mapsource navigator maps????

This program is similar to Garmin MobileXT on mobile devices. You can use same maps in MobilePC than in MobileXT.

Hi Nincsenex - I've tried this with an Etrex vista HCX, and no go - get the invalid GPS error. Reading through the forums, it should be working, any suggestions? The SW.UNL - needs to be adjust for the GPD unit ID (i.e. the etrex) - correct?

sorry to bother you guys with this question: I installed Mobile PC but how do I get maps into the thing?
With Garmin NT the program "sees" the software installed on the computer.
I installed Mobile PC in a separate folder on the C disk.

would NT 2008 work on mobile PC? Also, is mobile PC bteer that nRoute? well, I can't use CN EU 2010 on nRoute. that's 4 sure. I guess it's a compatbility thing.
I tried to import maps into mobile PC but it didn't work. Can anyone put my nose in the right direction?

dunno yet if it will work, this patch does not work for v5.00.70

Damn MobilePC's been discontinued. And it was the only GPS program light weight enough to run smoothly on a netbook. It seems the only want to sell proprietary devices which do nothing else.
