For anyone WHO MAY HAVE issues with installation, extraction, wrong file extensions, passwords etc for this or any of my other installer torrents. Go to:

Start-Computer-Documents-Organize-Folder and search options-View

Then from the scroll menu that appears, un-tick the option of "Hide extensions for known file types". Click on "Apply" and then click on "OK" (Screen shot below):

Once you've done that. Return to your downloaded installer torrent of mine and change the file extension to .exe

Then right click on it and select "Run as administrator". 

NONE of my torrents are, or ever have been passworded or have any other type of security, re-directs etc on them.

MOUSE over icons on the installer for INFO on their functions.

I've had Ableton installed for well over a year now (without any problems), but roughly two weeks ago it started needing re-authentication every time it had been closed or if I'd been away from the computer for too long.

It doesn't help to re-apply the patch. The only thing that works is to completely remove Ableton and reinstall it.

Do you (or anyone else) have any idea on how to fix this?

The Ableton Live 9 Packs (28.8GB) are available for download on rutracker.
You'll need to register to download the torrent. If your not a native Russian speaker use CHROME or Google Translate to navigate the site and register to download.

For those who had trouble authorizing - make sure you:

1) Run the installer AS ADMINISTRATOR
2) Install to the DEFAULT installation directory

It simply not working on WinXP, i just get the authorization issue, crack issue, even running as administrator and enabling to see the extensions. Doesn't worked for me... And the installation tutorial doesn't really help eighter.

Currently i don't have access to XP either virtualized or on a rig. Once i get access i'll take a look at it and see if i can replicate your issue and see if i can find a solution.

I can crack this but my problem is I do not want to leave a gig and half (or more maybe) on my C-Drive. I had 8.2.1 on my d-drive. If I try to move the folder from C:ProgramData back to my d-drive where i have more space and windows in not installed the program will no longer work. This is a deal breaker for me though I want the program. Is there a way around this that you know of?

My torrent below of Ableton is a custom installer which will allow you to place files on a different drive etc. Your not restricted to the default location.
Only issue you may have is it's a x64bit version and your looking for x86(x32bit) version i assume.
